This was such a lovely post, too. I agree with the way the faces surrounding us as we blow out candles are beautiful golden treasures that I know I'm so lucky to have...that was really such a beautiful line the way you worded it.

I am such a sucker for an movement, big or small, that involves people working together. We participate in Earth hour, too, but I'd be lying if I said we did it this year. :/ We were one of the ones that completely forgot. It just totally slipped my mind and then we remembered afterward and were like, "Uh-oh!" Don't judge us too harshly! :)

I love this! It reminds me of all the life long friendships I made in the military and along my life's journey in general. Friendships like those are blessings of the highest degree and they make me feel so complete when I think of our bonds, most happening in such a short span of time.
I hope y'all can reunite again someday.

Congrats to Harmony! And omg what a great idea this dress shop is!! I'd love to pay it a visit when my husband and I have our "Big" wedding one day. I love the idea of the money going to charity and it makes sense to go there since you only wear the dress once! Brilliant!

...feeling the people that we love who have passed on is something so wonderful to me. Everything that I want to say, I can't find the words right now. I guess because I can't ever -not for a second- imagine my life without my mom in it. I don't have the pleasures of living close to her, but when I'm visiting with her for several weeks a year, those are the best moments and we make them count. She's really my best, best friend....Yeah, I think I have to stop with this right now because I was choked up when I read your post and now thoughts are making my throat burn. I'm happy that your Good Friday with family was lovely and well spent. :)

First of all, that's a beautiful picture!
And as far as the content of this post, absolutely and AMEN. I get marking a day once a year to celebrate a subject, but why should that be the ONLY day we recognize our passions for it? I know I can do more things to help out, too (like recycling!), so it's not like I'm innocent. I think we just take things for granted...it's human nature to take things for granted and it's wrong. People need to read words like this every day to be reminded of our precious home. I mean, we all have to share it.

Lyn, I've missed some of your posts and have been meaning to spend a few hours to read and catch up for weeks now (honest to God). I am sorry to hear about your arm and shoulder pains. :( But like you said, it's life and I know I'll experience my own pre-owned vehicle pains someday. I just pray that your pain disappears and your can get back to feeling like yourself.
As far as your daughter Harmony, Wow! I can only imagine what a proud mommy you are! Seeing her up on that stage and preaching about something worth preaching about has got to be extremely moving. I'd be proud, too. :)
I hope this week is full of sweetness for you to devour as well.

"Mors, Mors!" (By that you can verify you are a real "hamburger")
